Polishing Fresh Paint
Wait: > 30 minutes after baking; > 4 hours air dry; or when ready for sanding.
Sand: 1500 grit or finer DA; 1200 grit or finer wet.
Clean: Blow dry or solvent wipe after DA; hose or squeegee after wet sanding.
Compound: Parko 1250 with a wool
compounding pad; a thin ribbon across the widest
dimension of the repair area is the maximum amount of material needed. Buff until
area has a clean appearance.
Polish:
Parko 2500 with a wool or foam polishing pad; using no more than half of the amount
as was used of 1250. Excess material will smear.
Wash:
Dried
material can be removed using hot water and a soft cloth, or by normal washing
materials and procedures.
Deliver:
Thats right. There is no need for glazing or waxing.
Polishing Cured Paint
Sand: 1000 grit or finer DA; 800 grit or finer wet.
Clean: Blow dry or solvent wipe after DA; hose or squeegee after wet sanding.
Compound: Parko Euro 1000 with wool compounding pad. Buff until clean.
Polish: Parko 1750 with a wool polishing pad. Extend dried material with water.
Wash:
Excess material
can be removed using hot water with a soft cloth, or by normal
washing materials and procedures.
Deliver: Thats right. There is no need for glazing or waxing.
